Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

This cleanser is my holy grail product. While my skin type has substantially changed over the past year, this product has helped keep my skin exfoliated, smooth, even toned and clear. Breakouts in eyebrows. Gone. Blackheads. Gone. Pores. Barely noticeable...and my pores are normally HUGE.
For those wanting to save money, this cleanser is $36 well spent. Salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic dissolve (doesn't scratch with abrasive beads/shells) dull dead skin cells and is suitable for all skin types. I combine the cleanser every other day with my Clarisonic Mia. I have also found it great for body acne, at the gym after a strenuous workout to prevent breakouts, fade acne scarring and for ingrown hairs. I have recommended this cleanser to male friends who have found it to be helpful in prevents and treating ingrown hairs.  Used along with Murad serums and moisturizing, this cleanser can also facilitate in plumping up aging skin, increasing hydration and improving efficiency of products in your skin regime.

Give your Skin a 3 Day Glow with GlamGlow Tingling & Exfoliating Mud Mask!

A favorite of makeup artists, Glam Glow Tingling & Exfoliating Mud Mask is popular among many celebrities including Natalie Portman, Ryan Seacrest and Nina Dobrev.

"GLAMGLOW is an amazing rapid gentle exfoliant mud mask. Its mud base is dredged from Southern France, home to glamorous Cannes, St. Tropez and Monaco. Its moisturizing collagen synthesis is for both men and women and it revitalizes the user’s complexion for illuminating, brighter radiant skin instantly. TEAOXI® is GLAMGLOW’s continuous time-release, patent-pending technology. It delivers ‘Super-Squalene’ and ‘EGCG Super-Antioxidants’ direct into the mud from the real pieces of tea leaf contained in the mask. The product can be used a couple of times a week or simply when you need GLAM-tastic skin that starts glowing in 10 minutes or less."-GLAMGLOW

When applying I noticed this mask dries rather quick, so I applied it and layered more on.  I thought the tea leaf chunks were a little strange, but they are packed with Antioxidants and Polyphenols.  I would want them blended into the mask, so there are no chunks.  It did not itch or nor did I feel clastriphobic. I rinsed the mask off with warm water rubbing in a circular motion to exfoliate my skin.  This mask contains gentle pumice.

After using this mask, my skin was exceptionally soft, smooth and 5 minutes later I noticed my skin was in fact glowing!  The day after I used the mask, my skin was peeling a little.  A much needed exfoliation, this helped release congested areas on my face. My skin looks more even due to this exfoliation, glow and ingredients!  Day 3 and my skin still has a healthy glow!

Basic Skincare

A skincare regime is very important for the health and appearance of your skin.  Here are the steps you should be taking to a healthy complexion morning and night.

1. Cleanse morning and night. Pick a cleanser appropriate for your skin type.  Wash your face with a Clarisonic brush or clean washcloth.  Be sure to remove all traces of makeup before going to bed.  This will prevent accumulated makeup, oil, debris and bacteria from causing breakouts.

 2. Tone.  This balances skins pH, removes cleanser residue and excess debris.  Choose a toner without alcohol, which can strip skin of its acid mantle.

3. Treat. Apply serum or corrective skincare & eye cream.  Target your areas of concern.  Apply when skin is still moist, products will penetrate better and work better.

4. Hydrate.  Moisturize your skin, even if its extremely oily.  Oily skin can will overcompensate for loss of moisture and produce even more oil.

5. Protect (day only).  Wear a minimum SPF 30 EVERYDAY.  No one is immune to skin cancer, protect yourself.  Olay Sensitive Skin SPF 30 is a great option without irritation.

Weekly Skincare
1. Exfoliate.  Exfoliation is extremely important, sloughs off dead skin cells to reveal fresh, healthy skin cells.  Acne prone skin and oily skin must be exfoliated up to three times a week to clear & prevent clogged pores.  Everyone should be exfoliating at least 2x week. I do not suggest using St. Ives Apricot Scrub, it is too aggressive for facial skin, will irritate skin and create micro-tears (it's better suited for feet).  Instead try a enzyme, AHA/BHA or Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant.  Exfoliate after cleansing.

2.  Mask.  A mask can treat blemishes, draw out impurities, brighten, rejuvenate, nourish, calm & soothe, tighten & tone skin, and hydrate skin.  Use a mask 1-2x a week.
