Primer is a necessity for my oily skin. I have to be very careful with primers, because most break me out. Dimethicone is a key ingredient in primers to fill in pores and create a smooth and even canvas for foundation. This ingredient is also known to clog pores because it is a sillicone and its texture is thick. This combination can be bad for oily skin.
I experienced some clogged pores after using this primer. It comes in a small jar, I suggest not sticking fingers in it to prevent contamination. Use a small popsicle stick to remove product from jar and use the back of your hand as a pallete. L'oreal claims, "Get the perfect skin texture, instantly and all day. Smoothes lines Hides pores Banishes imperfections The silky, lightweight formula glides onto skin, leaving it velvety-smooth to the touch. The result-a unified matte finish that's flawless".
When applied, my skin tone looked even, matte, more flawless. A decent oil control product and a little goes a long way. It's a good buy and I would recommend for normal skin. Tip: Make sure you thoroughly cleanse skin before bed to prevent clogged pores and remove impurities. I would not repurchase, because I broke out.
